Schwab revealed that while writing Vengeful, she had made the decision to merge her ideas for the second and the third book, making the series a duology instead of a trilogy. Victorious was originally planned to be the third and final book in the Villains trilogy. But as the series goes on, you start to realize that Victor wants to be a sociopath. He’s highly emotional, and you have Victor who seems emotionally devoid. ![]() You go in and you assume essentially that what you have here is the line between a sociopath and a psychopath, right? Eli is psychopathic. However, he collapses from blood loss and Eli shoots him again in the back before walking away unscathed to call the police. Victor numbs the pain and stabs Eli multiple times knowing that he can’t heal unless he removes the knife, as well as using his power to torture him. He returns to find Eli who shoots him twice. ![]()
